Our tech-team is growing! We are happy to announce that Guilherme Sperb Machado and Thomas Bocek are joining the team and contributing their experience to the development of VETRI. Guilherme and Thomas both hold a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Zurich. Before joining VETRI, they gained extensive experience as part of the Modum.io ITO team.
Thomas is a blockchain expert and the Head of P2P and Distributed Computing at the Communication Systems Group (CSG) of the University of Zurich. He has years of experience working as a software engineer and technical project manager in the financial industry.
Guilherme is a Senior Software Engineer at Swisscom AG in the area of Cloud Storage and also an ITO Advisor. His academic and professional focus lies on Cloud Computing, Network Security, Peer-to-Peer, Blockchain, and in the design of highly scalable systems.
Thomas says: “I have always been passionate about innovation and I am driven by challenging ideas. VETRI is a project that allows me to put original solutions into practice and deliver a state-of-the-art personal data management platform!” Guilherme adds: “The digital age has arrived but many people are still unable to take advantage of its benefits. I am happy to be part of the team that is going to put individuals back in control of their personal data.”
Thomas and Guilherme will be working with our CTO, Giorgio Zinetti, who says: “I am very happy to welcome Guilherme and Thomas to our team. Their extensive experience is going to be an additional boost to the development of the project.”
